CYPX Mining
CYPX Mining is one of the passive game mechanics and ways to earn CYPX.
Mechanics
To mine CPYX, players must craft a mining rig and own an apartment (→Cyberia Estate). Within the "Add" menu of their apartment, players must first craft the frame. Once the frame is placed within the apartment, the mining interface becomes accessible. To initiate the mining operation, the frame must be equipped with at least a motherboard, a PSU (Power Supply Unit), a cooling device, and one GPU (Graphics Processing Unit). Additional GPUs and a CPU are optional. Upon activating the rig, CPYX will be mined at a predetermined rate per hour. However, the rig consumes electricity, which must be paid once it reaches the maximum value. The maximum value depends on the size of the apartment. If the electricity meter hits its maximum, mining will cease until the electricity bill is settled. Players can adjust their rig setup to influence how much CYPX is mined and how frequently the bill must be paid. Refer to Configuration Examples.
Apartment Size | Max Electricity |
---|---|
Small | 100 |
Medium | 200 |
Large | 300 |
Penthouse/Yacht | 500 |

Components
Mining rig components can be crafted from materials found in the dumpsters around the city (→ Exploring) and on Cave Island in the mines (→ Ore Mining). Each component has three tiers. Check crafting recipies here: (→ Crafting).
Cooling System
This system reduces the total heat generated by a certain percentage.
Image | Tier | Cooling System | Reduction |
---|---|---|---|
1 | Cooling System V1 | 20% | |
2 | Cooling System V2 | 40% | |
3 | Cooling System V3 | 60% |
CPU
A better CPU provides additional percentage bonuses for mining.
Image | Tier | CPU | Bonus |
---|---|---|---|
1 | NovaCore Lite CPU | 5% | |
2 | Quantum Boost 5000 CPU | 10% | |
3 | TechnoCore Ultra-XT CPU | 15% |
Motherboard
The higher the quality of the motherboard, the more slots become available in the mining rig for GPUs, allowing for up to three GPUs.
Image | Tier | CPU | GPU Slots |
---|---|---|---|
1 | Powertech Light Motherboard | 1 | |
2 | TitanTech-101 Motherboard | 2 | |
3 | CyberSynthetiX Motherboard | 3 |
PSU
Essential for operating the mining rig, but each PSU adds a certain percentage of heat.
Image | Tier | CPU | Heat added |
---|---|---|---|
1 | ProCharge PSU | 20% | |
2 | SynthWave Pro PSU | 30% | |
3 | QuantumBoost 3000 PSU | 40% |
GPU
Each GPU type adds a specific percentage of heat. The maximum heat tolerance for mining rigs is 100%. Beyond this, the rig will not mine. However, better GPUs mine considerable more CYPX.
Image | Tier | CPU | Heat added | CYPX/h |
---|---|---|---|---|
1 | Cybervision X-Gen 1000 | 35% | 0.5 | |
2 | Cybervision X-Gen 2000 | 45% | 1 | |
3 | Cybervision X-Gen 3000 | 60% | 1.5 |
Configuration Examples
The following table gives an overview of how much CYPX can be mined per hour/day and how long the mining rig can run until the electricity bill has to be paid. Of course, there are many more combinations imaginable. The higher the electricity consumption of the rig and the smaller the apartment, the more often the player has to go to their apartment to pay the bill. 100 units of electricity cost 1 CYPX.
Formula is: CYPX per GPU * GPU Slots * CPU Bonus.
