Exploring is one important activity in Cyberia to gather materials for crafting tools and other items.

Beside dumpsters, players can also find loot boxes around the city. Contrary to the fixed location of dumpsters, loot boxes have random spawn points and only can be looted once per day per CyberCitizen, but often contain better items.

Exploring costs 5 energy and grants 2 EXP and 3 Exploring Skill EXP. There is a 50% base chance to find nothing. This base chance decreases as your exploring skill increases.

Lore

Life isn't easy in Cyberia, stores are often out of stock, and acquiring materials for tools isn't cheap. However, it has been discovered that a valuable source for the essential components a CyberCitizen needs can be found in a rather inconspicuous place: the dumpsters scattered around the city. People thoughtlessly discard various items such as cables, partially drained batteries, and even small circuit boards from their outdated hardware. What may be considered trash by one person is often deemed a treasure by another. Occasionally, one might stumble upon a small white flower flourishing next to a metal container, a hidden gem worth picking up.

Dumpsters

Location of dumpsters can be found on CyberiaMaps.

Lootboxes

Lootboxes are scattered throughout the city and were originally introduced as Christmas gift boxes during an event. Fortunately, they remained, albeit with a more generic design and less valuable loot. Unlike dumpsters, each loot box contains only one type of item, although players have the chance to obtain multiple units of said item.
