CyberCitizens

A citizen is a playable character in the Cyberverse game. As of now, all playable characters are unique NFTs on the Ergo (GEN2-3) and Ronin (GEN4) blockchains.

ErgoPixels

Prior to the creation of the Cyberverse game, an NFT collection known as ErgoPixels was launched. This collection comprises 250 hand-drawn characters, with designs inspired by real-world individuals and the artist's imagination. These characters, now sometimes referred to as Gen 1, are not playable within the game. Holders of ErgoPixels were airdropped Gen2 CyberCitizen NFTs before the launch of the game.

GEN 2

Generation 2 is the first collection of 2081 playable characters. Minting started in 2022 before the beta of the game went online. All citizens have been minted. Citizens with the number #0 to #2080 belong to this generation. A Gen2 citizen yields double the amount of daily CYPX rewards compared to a Gen3 citizen of the same rarity class.

The 2nd Generation features three different "types": Humans, Monkeys and Robots. However, in the metadata "Type" is not a trait. Citizens can have three genders: Male, Female (both are Humans) and Robot. Monkey is one of the five skin tones in the metadata alongside White, Tanned White, Brown and Black. All monkeys are male.

Rarity System

Each NFT has an assigned rarity rank (not in the meta data), determined by the combination of the rarity of their traits. The rarity determines how much CYPX a CyberCitizen can generate by 'staking' them in the Bank (read more about the staking mechanism there). Rewards can be increased by leveling up the character level. Rarity also influences the amount of stamina and energy a Citizen has available for mini-games and other activities.

GEN 3

Minting of Gen 3 started in 2023. The collection was sold out in April 2024. The collection consists of 6000 unique NFTs (#2081 - #8081), follows the new NFT standard on Ergo and provides a higher variety in traits compared to Gen 2. However, a Gen 3 citizen with the same rarity class as a Gen 2 citizen yields only half in daily CYPX rewards. The 3rd generation features five different types: Humans, Elves, Orcs, Reptilians and Cyborgs. The somewhat messy situation of traits in Gen 2 was fixed. Each Type (Human, Elf etc) can now have one of two Genders (Male and Female) and several different skin tones (Black, White, Red, Blue, Brown etc) depending on their type.

Type Supply
Human 4569

GEN 4

GEN 4 is a new collection of 2,000 CyberCitizens, set to debut on the Ronin blockchain. A community vote was conducted to decide whether CyberVerse would be allowed to release this collection on the gaming-focused blockchain. This move would also pave the way for integrating the CyberVerse game into the Ronin ecosystem.

In the vote, CyberCitizen, an outsider to the Ronin blockchain, ranked fifth among 24 finalists—following popular community collections like Kanstar and Ronin Realms.[1]

Mint was held January 6th, 2025 on Mavis Market in three rounds: Private, White List (each taking one hour) and Public. The mint was sold out in under 10 seconds.

Free2Play Citizen

Every player has access to a generic Free2Play CyberCitizen. It is no NFT and comes with several restrictions:

Level System

CyberCitizens can be leveled up by playing mini games and the various activities the game is offering. Leveling up grants several benefits, such as higher CYPX rewards in the bank (2% per level), better mechant deals and a bonus on stamina and energy.

Stamina and Energy Boni
Level Range Additional Stamina Additional Energy
0-4 +0 +0
5-9 +1 +10
10-14 +2 +20
15-19 +3 +30
20 +4 +40
Merchant Deal Bonuses

Each level enhances the offers provided by various merchants across the city. For example, "85% / 15%" indicates that 85% of the deals reward Coins, while 15% reward CYPX tokens. Similarly, "80 - 130" signifies that the price variance ranges between 80% and 130% of the item's default value.
