If you’ve been sitting on the sidelines wondering when to hop into CyberVerse… this is your sign from the pixelated heavens. 🌠
We just got Free-to-Play skill leveling (amazing), and now we’re being blessed with a shiny new feature:
🎯 The Request Board!
✨ What's the Request Board?
Tucked right beside the Awakening Core building, this snazzy board is your new best friend while waiting for your energy or stamina to refill.
🧾 Here’s how it works:
-
NPCs post time-limited quests
-
You pick one, hustle to complete it
-
First one to the finish line claims the rewards
-
Everyone else? Better luck next time 👀
📅 Requests refresh every hour
⏱ Completion time: 30 to 90 minutes
🏅 Rewards: COINS, CYPX, rare goodies, and +1 credit score every time you finish a task
Think of it like a job board meets a footrace meets a treasure hunt. And yes, it's as fun as it sounds.
💡 Why it’s perfect for newbies:
The Request Board gives new players something valuable to do while they wait. You’re not just standing around anymore — you’re out there collecting, delivering, and leveling up your rep.
Plus, it's a great intro to the world of Cyberia:
🌍 Meet NPCs
📦 Learn items
💬 Explore the map
💸 Get paid
🛠 More Sweet Updates
As if that weren’t enough, the team snuck in some extra goodies:
-
💎 Unrefined Diamonds now drop from mining (craft them into real Diamonds straight from your inventory!)
-
🎆 Party Fireworks Box added — get festive
-
⚡️ EXP Boosters for faster leveling
-
🐺 Wolf & Sheep game now starts with just 5 players (was 8!)
🌊 TL;DR: The Cyber Surge Is Real
If you’ve been thinking about joining, this is your moment. The updates are flowing, the content is rich, and the community? Absolutely top-tier.
So grab your pickaxe, hit up the Request Board, and start collecting that coin.
See you in Cyberia, legends. 💖

Introducing the Cyberverse Wiki Referral System – Earn Froggies by Inviting Friends!

Hey CyberCitizens! I am thrilled to announce a brand-new feature that’s all about growing our community and rewarding you for spreading the word: the Referral System! 🎉 Now you can invite your friends to join Cyberverse Wiki and earn Froggies as a thank - you for helping our community grow.
What Is the Referral System?
The Referral System lets you invite friends to join Cyberverse Wiki using your unique referral link. When they sign up, verify their email, and get active on the site, you’ll earn 5 Froggies as a reward! It’s a win-win: your friends discover the awesome world of Cyberverse, and you get to collect more Froggies!
How Does It Work?
- Get Your Referral Link: Head to your Profile Page and find the "Referral Link & Stats" section. You’ll see your unique referral link there - copy it with the handy "Copy" button!
- Invite Friends: Share your referral link with friends via mail, on social media, or anywhere else. When they use your link to register, they’ll be marked as your referral.
- Track Their Progress: Once your friend registers, they’ll appear in the "Pending Referrals" section on your Profile Page. They need to verify their email and earn 10 Froggies through activity (like claiming daily Froggies or engaging with content) to become claimable.
- Claim Your Reward: When your friend meets the requirements, they’ll move to the "Claimable Referrals" section. You’ll see a "Claim 5 Froggies" button above their profile picture - click it to collect your reward!
- See Your Success: After claiming, your friend will move to the "Claimed Referrals" section, and your Froggie count will increase by 5. You can keep track of all your referrals right on your Profile Page.
Why Use the Referral System?
- Earn Froggies: Each successful referral nets you 5 Froggies, which you can use to play the Froggie Gacha game or just accumulate. Who knows for what they will be used in the future. ;)
- Grow the Community: The more friends you invite, the bigger and more vibrant our community becomes. Let’s build the ultimate Cyberverse community together!
- It’s Easy and Fun: The referral system is designed to be straightforward, with clear sections to track your progress and claim rewards.
A Quick Note on Fair Play
I want the Referral System to be a fun and fair experience for everyone. Please don’t abuse the system (e.g., by creating fake accounts or spamming). Abuse will result in the deletion of your and all connected accounts, so let’s keep things friendly and genuine!
Get Started Today!
Ready to start inviting friends and earning Froggies? Head over to your Profile Page, grab your referral link, and share it with your friends. Let’s grow the Cyberverse community together - one referral at a time!
Happy referring, lexy

Dive into the Fun: Introducing Froggie Gacha

Hey CyberCitizens! I’m excited to reveal Froggie Gacha, a new mechanic for how you can use your hard-earned Froggies. Froggies can be earned through various activities on the Wiki—whether it’s contributing content, liking other members’ posts, or logging in daily to keep your streak alive. For an updated overview of all the ways to earn Froggies, check out the Froggies Wiki page. Now, for those of you who love the thrill of gacha systems, you can send your Froggies into a pond—and hope for their return. Maybe they’ll even find something special along the way?!
What is Froggie Gacha?
Froggie Gacha is a fun, luck-based mini-game where you can spend your Froggies for a chance to win more—or even some unique surprises! The concept is simple: for just 1 Froggie per attempt, you send a Froggie into the pond, and it’ll either come back with friends, return with a little surprise, or… well, not come back at all (don’t worry, he’s living a good life inside the beautiful pond now!).
The game is designed to add a bit of excitement to your Wiki experience and is purely optional. The chances are tuned with a slight “edge for the house” to prevent endless inflation of Froggies—on average, 1 Froggie returns 0.9 Froggies (plus surprises). Depending on your risk appetite, it still makes sense to play because the real reward lies in collecting rare Surprises to show off on your profile, plus the sheer fun of watching your Froggie take the plunge! ;)
How to Play Froggie Gacha
Here’s the step-by-step on how to play:
- Head to the Gacha Page: Visit the Froggie Gacha page on the Wiki.
- Check Your Froggies: You’ll see how many Froggies you have at the top of the page. Each attempt costs 1 Froggie, so make sure you have at least 1 to play!
- Send Your Froggie into the Pond: Click the “Let the Froggie Jump!” button, and watch as your Froggie hops into the pond with a splash (20 times per day max).
- Wait for the Outcome: After a short wait, you’ll find out if your Froggie came back—and what it brought with it!
- Check the Chances: You can transparently read about the odds by clicking the info icon on the page.
Surprise Rarity: Collect Unique Treasures!
The real excitement of Froggie Gacha comes from the Surprises your Froggie might find. There’s a 10% chance on each attempt to get a Surprise alongside 1 Froggie. These Surprises are more than just fun—they’re collectibles! Each time your Froggie finds a Surprise, it’s recorded in the database, and you can show off your collection in the “Froggie Treasures” section of your public profile.
What’s Next?
I’m thrilled to see how you all enjoy Froggie Gacha, and I’ve got some ideas for the future to make it even more exciting:
- New Surprises: More collectible items for your Froggies to find.
- Special Events: Imagine limited-time gacha events with boosted rates or exclusive rewards!
- More Utility: I’m exploring new ways to use Froggies and the items you find in the pond.
Happy gacha-ing, Cyberverse Wiki fam! 🐸💦

Cyberian Toilet

💾 Cyberian Toilets: A Place Beyond Time 💾
A strange, almost unreal place... Here, quirky turtles and eccentric frogs watch you in silence. A blue monkey, unspeakably ugly, stares at you from the corner of its eye.
Hidden among the plants, wolves wait patiently... The last exit is near. In moments like these, is it really wise to waste time washing your hands? Or do you risk losing much more than just soapy water?
Fortunately, the smartest citizen knows better. A sheep, wise and wary, who remembers all too well the tale of the Big Bad Wolf… and knows that here, it’s best to stay on guard. 🐑🐺
Welcome to the Cyberian Toilets. Will you dare to enter? 💀🔵🐺

The Campfire

🌟 Campfire: The Enchanted Barrel 🌟
In a forgotten corner of Cyberia, far from the neon-lit streets, stands the Campfire. Not a real campfire, no. Just an old rusty metal barrel filled with flickering flames 🔥. But nobody cares. This is the gathering place for the neighborhood. People come here to chat, to laugh, to shiver... and most importantly, to roast marshmallows 🍪.
🌟 The Fire Rumors 🌟
Every evening, a colorful crowd gathers around the fire. Old hackers 👨💻, pizza delivery guys 🍕, and even stray ccats 🐈. And of course, they tell stories. Terrifying stories.
They say that in the shadows of Cyberia's skyscrapers, the Big Bad Wolf 🐺 prowls. Not an ordinary wolf, no! A wolf with glowing red eyes 💥, and fangs sharp enough to crush steel. Some claim to have seen it leaping between buildings, others swear it can hack into your neural implant with a single glance 🤯.
🚨 Panic at the Barrel! 🚨
One night, as everyone was deep into a chilling story, a strange noise echoed a few meters from the barrel.
GRRRROWWWWRRR... 🐺✨
Marshmallows fell from sticks, hackers choked on their Syntheso 🍵, and a panicked pizza delivery guy dropped his box on the ground 🍕💥.
"It’s him! The Big Bad Wolf!" a teenager screamed, clinging to his friend.
A deadly silence settled. Everyone stared into the darkness. Then, a shadow slowly emerged...
... and out of the blackness came a poor stray dog 🐶✨, hungry and covered in dust.
A long sigh of relief swept through the crowd, followed by bursts of laughter 🤣. The delivery guy picked up his pizza, cut off a piece, and handed it to the dog, who wagged his tail happily 🐶🤍.
From that day on, the Campfire had a new guardian. They called him Little Wolf. And if you ever pass through Cyberverse, sit down by the metal barrel, grab a marshmallow 🍪, and listen to the stories of the Big Bad Wolf...

CC Lore 2.0: Share Your CyberCitizen Story and Earn Froggies

Hey CyberCitizens,
I’ve been working relentlessly, and I’m thrilled to announce that the CC Lore section has been completely revamped! Previously, anyone could submit their stories via a form that emailed me, and I’d manually create a static page based on those submissions. Now, only registered users can use the form. All content is stored in a database, goes through a quick quality check, and once approved, your CyberCitizen story appears in the overview on its own dynamically generated page. Plus, a dynamic sitemap ensures that search engines are always up-to-date.
Contributing a CC Lore entry now works just like submitting a blog post—you can earn up to 5 Froggies per day for your contribution. Please note that abuse of the system will result in account deletion.
Every user can also like CC Lore entries and earn 1 Froggie per day!
I’m excited to have made the wiki more interactive and community-driven. Cyberversewiki is a project built by and for its community, and it’s thanks to you that we continue to grow!
Quick Recap and how to Earn Froggies:
• Submit blog posts: 5 Froggies
• Like blog posts: 1 Froggie
• Submit Cyberverse memes: 2 Froggies
• Like memes: 1 Froggie
• Submit CC Lore: 5 Froggies
• Like CC Lore entries: 1 Froggie
• Claim your daily Froggie: 1 Froggie (plus bonus rewards for 7- and 30-day streaks: 5 and 20 Froggies)
And there’s even more planned for the near future!
And do not forget that every user now has their own public profile page featuring tons of information about your Cyberversewiki activities—either updated by you in your private profile or automatically based on your activities and contributions. Share your profile link on your socials and show everyone what a proud citizen of Cyberia you truly are!
Best,
Lexy

Say Hello to Your New Public Profile Page on Cyberverse Wiki!

I am excited to share a fresh update to the Members page on Cyberverse Wiki: every user now has their very own public profile page! No more pop-up modals—your profile is now a full, shareable page that shows off everything you’ve done on the Wiki. Let’s dive into what this means for you and how you can make the most of it.
What’s New?
Before this update, clicking on a user’s name on the Members page would open a small pop-up window with some basic info. It worked, but I was not completely satisifed with this solution. Now, each user gets their own dedicated page, like cyberversewiki.com/publicprofile/yourusername, where you can see all their contributions, achievements, and more in one place.
It’s like a personal hub that celebrates everything you’ve added to the Cyberverse Wiki community!
What’s on Your Profile Page?
Your new public profile page is packed with info about you and your activity on the Wiki. Here’s a quick look at what you’ll find:

- About Me Section: Share a bit about yourself with a custom description. Add your personality to your profile!
- Social Links: Show off your social media with links to platforms like X, Twitch, YouTube, TikTok, and Instagram. Your friends can easily find you wherever you’re active.
- Achievements: All the badges you’ve earned—like “Memer” for uploading your first meme, “Blog Master” for writing 5+ blog posts, or “Ultimate Wiki Gamer” for high scores in Catch Froggie and Owl vs Turtle—are proudly displayed. Try to get them all!
- Stats: See your activity at a glance, including how many memes you’ve uploaded, blog posts you’ve written, likes you’ve given, and your game high scores.
- Favorite NFTs: Highlight up to three of your favorite NFTs, complete with their names and images.
- Blog Posts: If you’ve written blog posts, the latest four will show up with a preview, including the title, a snippet, and an image.
- Meme Gallery: Your most recent memes (up to 12) are displayed in a neat grid, so everyone can see your creativity.
Cool Features to Check Out
- Like Your Profile: Other users can like your profile, and you’ll see the total likes right at the top. It’s a great way to show some love to your fellow Wiki members!
- Edit Your Profile: If you’re on your own page, you’ll see a little pencil icon (✏️) in the top-right corner. Click it to update your profile picture, description, social links, and more.
- Share It Anywhere: Your profile page has a unique link (/publicprofile/yourusername) that you can share with friends or on social media. When you share it, it’ll look awesome with a preview of your profile picture and description.
Why You’ll Love It
- Show Off Your Contributions: Your profile page brings together everything you’ve done on Cyberverse Wiki—memes, blog posts, game scores, and more. It’s a one-stop spot to see all your hard work and interaction with the community.
- Make It Yours: Add a description, link your socials, and pick your favorite NFTs to make your profile truly yours. It’s a fun way to express yourself in the community.
- Easier to Share: With a dedicated page, you can share your Cyberverse Wiki profile with friends or followers. It’s perfect for showing off your achievements or inviting others to join the fun.
- Discover Other Users: Visit other members’ profiles to see what they’ve been up to. Like their page, check out their blog posts, or laugh about their memes!
How to Find Your Profile
Head over to the Members page at cyberversewiki.com/members and click on your member card (or anyone else’s!). You’ll be taken to your new public profile page. You can also go directly to your page by visiting cyberversewiki.com/publicprofile/yourusername. Want to update your info? Just click the edit button on your own profile to add a description, change your picture, or link your social media accounts.
Coming Soon
As the Cyberverse Wiki grows, new interactive features - like the planned CyberCitizen lore update - will be reflected in your public profile, keeping it fresh and exciting. I am also considering support for linking up to four YouTube videos for content creators, so you can share your best videos right on your page. And, of course, I’ll be dreaming up more fun ideas to add next - stay tuned! 😉
Let Us Know What You Think!
I hope you love your new public profile page! It’s all about celebrating you and your contributions to Cyberverse Wiki. If you have ideas for how we can make it even better, I’d love to hear from you!
Happy exploring, and don’t forget to share your profile with your friends!

CyberVerse Skills: A Guide to Getting Started

CyberVerse just got a major skill system overhaul, and if you wanna master your craft—whether that’s blending smoothies, forging weapons, or fishing up the biggest catch—you’ll need to train up.
Each skill now has two tiers, and if you’re wondering how to get started, good news! I’m rolling out short beginner-friendly videos to walk you through where to go, what to do, and how to unlock each skill. No more wandering around confused—just straight-up get in, get skilled, and get going! 🚀
📚 How Do Skills Work?
CyberVerse now has a tiered skill system, meaning you start from scratch and work your way up like the legendary grinder you were born to be.
✨ Tier 1 – Unlocks with a Skill Book (1,000 coins). Your stats start showing, and you gain bonuses as you use the skill.
🔥 Tier 2 – Unlocks with a Tier 2 Skill Book (rare, from Jin’s Event Shop for 20,000 Lapis). This tier boosts your skill even more, making you an absolute legend in your trade.
No Skill Book? You still get a teeny-tiny default effect—like using a wooden sword against a dragon. Not ideal, but better than nothing!
And if you were already grinding before this update—good news! Your progress carries over! No need to start from scratch. 🎉

Introducing Froggies: Earn Rewards with the New Engagement System!

Hey CyberCitizens!
I am excited to unveil a brand-new feature on the Cyberverse Wiki that’s going to make your experience even more rewarding: Froggies! 🐸 Froggies are the shiny new points system designed to reward you for engaging with the Wiki in fun and meaningful ways. Let’s dive into all the ways you can start earning Froggies today!
🐸 What Are Froggies?
Froggies are points you can earn by participating in various activities on the Cyberverse Wiki. Think of them as a way to show off your dedication to the Cyberverse community while potentially unlocking cool rewards in the future (more on that at a later time!). The more you engage, the more Froggies you’ll collect. Here’s how you can start earning them:
🐸 Daily Login and Claim: 1 Froggie Per Day!
Hop into the Wiki every day and claim your daily reward! Simply visit your profile page and click the “Claim Daily Froggie” button to earn 1 Froggie each day. It’s the easiest way to start building your Froggie collection, and it’s the foundation for something even more exciting - streaks!
🐸 Build Your Streak for Bonus Froggies!
Consistency pays off in the Cyberverse! By claiming your daily Froggie every day, you’ll build a streak that unlocks bonus rewards:
- Reach a 7-day streak to earn +5 bonus Froggies!
- Keep going for a 30-day streak to snag a massive +20 bonus Froggies! Your streak resets if you miss a day, so make sure to log in and claim your Froggie daily to keep the streak alive.
🐸 Earn Froggies by Interactions with the Community Blog!
I recently introdced the new Cyberverse Wiki Community Blog, a new space where you can read and share all things Cyberverse—whether it’s lore, guides or news. And the best part? You can earn Froggies by engaging with the blog in two awesome ways:
- Like Blog Posts to Earn Froggies!
Found a blog post you love? Give it a like by clicking the heart icon and earn 1 Froggie per day! You can only earn 1 Froggie per day this way, and if you unlike the post, the Froggie will hop away. So pick your favorites wisely and show some love to our talented writers! - Contribute to the Blog and Earn Big!
Got a story to share? Submit your own blog post to the Community Blog! If your post gets approved, you’ll earn 5 Froggies for your contribution. Submissions are quality checked and need to be approved, so no reason to spam. So put your best foot forward and share your Cyberverse insights with the community!
🐸 What’s Next for Froggies?
This is just the beginning for Froggies! I am planning to revamp the CC Lore system, where you already are able to create your own background stories for your CyberCitizens, but it is static and outdated. WIth the new upcoming system, you will likely also be able to earn Froggies this way. I am also planning to introduce more ways to earn Froggies through other forms of content creation and community interaction (for example uploading memes will probably also reward Froggies soon). Stay tuned for more information on that!
I can’t wait to see how you’ll use these new features to earn Froggies and make the Cyberverse Wiki an even more vibrant community hub. Let’s make the Cyberverse Wiki the ultimate hub for all things Cyberverse and create the best web3 gaming community - together!
Happy hopping, CyberCitizens! Quak! 🐸
EDIT: A Little Clarification on Froggies:
Froggies are not on-chain—they currently live solely within your Cyberverse Wiki account, stored securely in our database. But who knows what the future might bring? 😉

Revamped Cyberverse Wiki Blog

Hey CyberCitizens,
I’m thrilled to announce that I’ve completely redesigned the Cyberverse Wiki blog, transforming it into a vibrant, community-driven platform for all things Cyberverse! The old blog was heavily underutilized and not very efficient - a static page with hardcoded content (just one article from last year, can you believe it?). It wasn’t doing justice to the incredible community and creativity within the Cyberverse ecosystem. But now, it’s so much more - packed with new features, SEO-optimized, and ready to showcase your stories, tips, and insights.
Here’s a rundown of what’s new and why you should jump in and start contributing:
1. A Platform for Everyone to Share Their Voice
The Cyberverse Wiki blog is now open to everyone with a user account! Whether you’re a seasoned CyberCitizen or an official partner in the Cyberverse Content Creator program, you can now submit your own blog posts. Share your tips for navigating the Cyberverse or write guides, recount epic in-game moments, announce or recap events, write articles about Cyberverse related blockchain topics in general, or even create new lore for Cybeverse - we want to hear it all!
To ensure quality and relevance, all submissions will go through an approval process before they’re published. This means your post won’t appear immediately, but don’t worry - we’ll review it as quickly as possible to get your content live. Submitting content is not only welcome but highly encouraged! Plus, each blog post you publish will earn likes from the community, which will soon be displayed on your public user profile. Maybe we will also host events in the future to incentivize content creators, regular users, and players alike to submit high-quality blog articles. Imagine exclusive in-game rewards, special badges, or even community-voted awards for the best posts - just some ideas.
2. Dynamic and SEO-Optimized for Maximum Visibility
The new blog is highly dynamic and built with discoverability in mind. Each blog post now has its own unique URL in the format blog.php?post_id=123&title=your-blog-title, complete with meta tags tailored for search engines. This means your content can be indexed by Google and other search engines, significantly increasing the visibility of the Cyberverse Wiki and your work online. Whether someone’s searching for “Cyberverse tips” or “CyberCitizens lore,” your blog post could be the first thing they find!
We’ve also added Open Graph and Twitter Card meta tags to ensure that when your post is shared on social media, it looks polished with a title, description, and featured image. Speaking of images, you can upload a featured image (up to 5MB, JPEG/PNG/GIF) to display at the top of your post, making it even more eye-catching when shared.
3. A Fresh UI with Community Features
The blog has received a major UI refresh to make it more engaging and user-friendly. Each post now includes:
- Likes: Show your appreciation for a post by liking it! Likes will be tallied and eventually displayed on the author’s public profile, giving recognition to top contributors.
- Share Options: Easily share posts on X (Twitter) with a single click. The share link includes the post’s title, URL, and a preview image, so your followers can see a snapshot of the content before clicking through.
- Author Profiles: The username of the post’s creator links directly to their public profile on the Cyberverse Wiki, making it easy to connect with other community members and see their contributions.
- Posts are organized by category, and you can filter them to find exactly what you’re looking for - whether it’s gameplay tips, lore deep-dives, or community updates.
4. Why You Should Contribute
The Cyberverse Wiki blog is now a space where the community can come together to share knowledge, creativity, and passion for the Cyberverse universe. If you’re someone who loves creating high-quality written content—whether on X, other platforms, or even just in your notes—I strongly encourage you to contribute. This is your chance to:
- Showcase Your Expertise: Share your strategies for mastering the game, your theories about the lore, or your experiences as a CyberCitizen.
- Build Your Reputation: Gain visibility within the community through likes and profile recognition.
- Help Others: Your tips and stories could help new players navigate the Cyberverse or inspire others to dive deeper into the world.
- Help Cyberverse: More content that can be found on search engines helps the project to gain more visibility. And we all want that, don't we?
We’re especially excited to see contributions from those of you who are already active on X or other platforms, sharing your Cyberverse adventures. Why not bring that energy to the Wiki and reach an even wider audience?
We’d love to hear your feedback and ideas for the blog—after all, this platform is for the community, and your input will help shape its future. Feel free to share your thoughts on X or in Discord.

CYPX Halving: Reasoning and Effects
Yesterday, the developer team of Cyberverse, an indie blockchain game on the Ergo blockchain, released a somewhat controversial update.
Previously, each CyberCitizen (of which there are 8,081) earned a specific amount of CYPX (the project’s token and in-game currency) daily. Players could manually claim these rewards at the bank, which ranged from 10 to 440 CYPX depending on the rarity and generation of the NFT.
Tens of thousands of CYPX were distributed to players every single day.
Additionally, players could earn extra CYPX through various activities in the game. These included playing mini-games, selling items obtained from fishing, mining, and gardening, mining CYPX with their rigs inside their apartments, and trying their luck in two different games along with daily free and VIP spins in the casino. These payouts also came from the treasury wallet.
The daily payouts of CYPX from the treasury wallet to the players essentially inflate the circulating token supply. While this method is a relatively fair distribution method (you could even call it a form of Proof of Work distribution method, at least for playing payouts), it has to be sustainable and well-balanced.
Frankly, until yesterday, it was not.
I don’t have an overview of the total payouts, but I tracked my own earnings for the entire month of April. As an early supporter and very active player of this project, I own 4.2% of all Citizens (most of which are Gen3). The last day before the halving, I received 20,411.8 CYPX from the bank, and this number has been increasing almost every day since I leveled up most of my citizens by playing with them (leveling up a CyberCitizen gives you a small bonus).
Through gameplay (exploring, mining, gardening, leaderboard rewards, etc.), I earned an average of an additional 30,000 CYPX each day. Of this, 8,500 CYPX came from profits in the community market, which does not count as inflation since it’s a real peer-to-peer economy.
In total, I earned just over 1.3 million CYPX, of which approximately 1.1 million were “new tokens.” So, 4.2% of the “population” drained more than one million CYPX from the treasury within one month. That’s roughly 0.25% of the total token supply. Potentially every month. Add one and one and you know that we would run into a problem very quickly.
It’s important to note that this isn’t an issue of concentration of CyberCitizens in the hands of a few whales. One player representing 4.2% of the population can’t fully utilize the stamina and energy of all the Citizens, meaning a lot of “CYPX generating potential” is actually wasted. A player with 50 citizens likely generates less CYPX by playing than 50 players with one citizen each, as players with only one citizen probably make full use of all the available stamina and energy. Managing 50 Citizens is challenging; with 300 Citizens, it becomes impossible.
Consequently, if in the near future the CyberCitizens NFTs are better distributed among more active players, the problem of high inflation would worsen.
The new update introduced two new features, all aimed at reducing the current high inflation rate:
Daily Reward Halving: CYPX rewards for CyberCitizens are being cut in half in 5 steps. The first step occurred today, May 1st. The second halving will occur in one month, the third in three months, the fourth in six months, and the last one in ten months. By that time, the rewards will have been reduced by almost 98%.
NPC Sales Limits: Players can no longer sell their items obtained through activities such as fishing, ore mining, and gardening in unlimited quantities. For this, an almost fetch-quest-like mechanism was introduced. Merchant NPCs now only accept certain contingents of items, which refresh every six hours. The prices of items now vary between 80% and 120% of the standard price, which has also been generally lowered. Instead of just farming and selling items, players now need to play more tactically and regularly check for favorable offers from the merchants.
Rewards for playing mini-games, mining CYPX with rigs, and everything casino-related were left untouched for now.
Taken together, these adjustments will radically decrease the payout of CYPX from the treasury over time and simultaneously focus more on rewarding players who actively engage with the game rather than inflating the circulating token supply through passive NFT staking. In the foreseeable future, I assume that these elements will likely be adjusted again when new game mechanics like PvE (player vs. environment) are implemented to shift the focus to more engaging gameplay than simply exploring and fishing.
Cuts like these hurt. My daily rewards will decrease dramatically over time, and I can earn less by playing the game. But is this really the case? We can look at it from two perspectives: in token terms and in fiat terms.
1. Fiat Value: With a price of 1 CYPX at $0.002 USD, my daily rewards are now cut in half, down to approximately $20 from $40. And in one month, it will only be around $10. But is this true? Players or NFT holders who sold their earnings (“cashed out”) will now only be able to sell half of what they sold before. Lower inflation means lower selling pressure, and lower selling pressure means a higher price, assuming buying pressure remains the same. Studying the CYPX chart, it becomes apparent that it is shaped by larger buys accumulating the token and consequent smaller sells, most likely from players or NFT holders cashing out their earnings or daily rewards. This is, by the way, a completely legitimate thing to do; no judgment here. However, under the new circumstances and without giving any financial advice, it’s not unreasonable to assume that the token price will relatively appreciate after cuts in inflation. I remain extremly bullish, now more than ever before.
2. Token Value: From the perspective of someone unconcerned with fiat value but eager to acquire more tokens by playing rather than buying on a DEX — whether for reasons of fiat price speculation or achieving in-game wealth — the reductions in token distribution likely feel more painful. However, these changes also prevent further concentration of CYPX in the hands of NFT whales by shifting from a “Proof of Stake” to a “Proof of Work” style of token distribution. Originally, the daily staking rewards were introduced as a bonus for NFT purchasers and supporters of the project during a period when the game offered limited features. However, those times have passed, and particularly in the coming months — as significant portions of the roadmap are implemented — daily staking rewards should become a relic of the past.
The ultimate goal of CyberVerse is to foster a self-sustaining, vibrant economy with CYPX as the in-game currency. The game is moving away from mindless grinding and selling items to NPCs for CYPX, as well as earning staking rewards for owned NFTs only to dump them on the market. Instead, the focus is shifting towards more meaningful interactions within the game. For example, if Player A enjoys mining ore and needs plastic plates for crafting energy cells, there could be a Player B who expends their energy dumpster diving for these plates to sell on the community market. Player A might use the materials they mined to craft special armor, which they then offer on the community market for Player C, who prefers battling mobs and needs quality armor but doesn’t want to mine. This setup ensures there are roles and earning opportunities for everyone, allowing players to accumulate or spend CYPX to achieve their personal objectives. As the game expands in scope and player base, it’s crucial to establish a healthy and balanced economy. I believe that cutting inflation now is a vital step towards this future.
